Recently I’ve
begun to sell of my DVD collection. The dozens of discs and their cases can be
very cumbersome when moving and seeing how the technology will soon be
obsolete, it makes sense to get rid of them. DVDs are going the way of the VHS.
There’s no reason to keep the discs until they’re not valuable anymore. As it
is, they’re only worth about a dollar a disk; I’d like to get some sort of
return on my investment. It is a little sad to part with my discs, after all I
have them because I enjoyed them at one time. However, I so rarely have time to
watch them and they’re just sitting there on a shelf. So, then I ask myself if
I only want to keep them so I can possess them. They’ll still be among my favorite
movies even if I do not own them anymore.
