When I was
in my twenties I vowed that I would treat myself to Botox on my 30th
birthday. I figured by that time the wrinkles would be very noticeable. Time
has treated me better than I thought and I delayed my cosmetic fix on that age milestone.
Years later, I am now trying to figure out which treatment would be more
suitable to my visage. There are plenty of products out there, so the selection
I make really will depend on what I want the treatment to do for me.
I am
leaning toward getting filler injected into my laugh lines as I feel Botox
wouldn’t eliminate those sneaky creases. I have looked into Restylane, which is
an injectable gel. I have joked with a friend about a spa day in which she
would get a chemical peel and I would get my own business taken care of.
However, I’m not sold on carrying through with a cosmetic procedure. As I said,
time has not been bad to me and I may just continue with my current skin care
regimen of day lotion, makeup removers, wrinkle serum, night cream and the occasional
microdermabrasion. In truth, I don’t mind the laugh lines. They give me
character and are a tell tale sign that I am a generally happy person.
