All I Want For Christmas Is...

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth. That’s at least a starting point to coming up with a list for myself. I have my teeth, so I’ll cross that one off. Now we’re back to a blank sheet of paper. I usually try to brainstorm to think of small and large, useful and not so useful gifts for myself. Some of the gift ideas I know I will not give, but if I give someone a choice they feel more like they are picking something out rather than just doing what I tell them to. Here’s a partial list that I was able to come up with in 60 seconds:

eBooks
A set of chopsticks
Bathrobe
Photo album
Perfume

The list can go on and on. I get frustrated when I ask a relative what they want for Christmas and they say, “I don’t know.” Actually in my family that is a response to many questions. Just think about it people! It isn’t hard to think of things you want or need. Are you afraid to tell me because you might get it? Are you afraid that I’ll judge you based on what you really wish for? Would you rather I get you what I think you want/need because chances are I’ll be wrong. Give me a little bit of help on what I should be looking for when shopping for my 13-year-old nephew whom I only see four times a year! If I knew I wouldn’t ask.
