Repurposing flower pots

I like to think of myself as a very crafty person. I frequently take on a variety of projects, always finding something new to create. Right now, I am working on repurposing some old flower pots. The pots were originally bought to grow herbs last summer. However, after one particularly brutally hot week and some storms my basil thumb attempt was ruined. The herbs, which had sprouted and were coming up nicely, had baked and shriveled. The pots were then blown over and ended up cracked. They have just been sitting on my balcony empty ever since waiting for life to be breathed back into their brittle shells.

I decided I would paint and decorate the pots, put fake flowers in them, and put them around my balcony for decoration. I had the spray paint, glue, and ribbon needed to repair and refresh the pots and I'm part way through painting them. Since I'm using spray paint, the key has been to find a non windy day (so I don't end up painting my siding) with a few dry days in the forecast. While my balcony is covered I do not want any water getting near the drying pots. These decorations are far from complete, but I am pleased with the progress.
